Testimonials

My clients are back from the Jolly Sicily Tour, here their feedback...Our trip went very, very well. We enjoyed it very much, had a superb time. The itinerary was perfect, but the people who implemented & managed it were even better. Driver & guides were all professionals & worthy of saying thanks for a well done job. We saw & learned a lot. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for a job well done!

August 1 | Welcome to Italy

Benvenuti in Italia!   Arriving at Rome airport you will be met by your tour leader and transferred to your hotel in Tuscany.   Check in and take some time to relax before this evening's welcome dinner. (D)

August 2 | Florence

Florence’s cathedral dominates the skyline and together with the Bell Tower and the Baptistery forms one of the most magnificent art masterpieces in the world. The austerity and beauty of this city and the pride and determination of the Florentine artists are displayed in a unique way in the Palazzo Vecchio. With a local English-speaking guide you will enjoy a 2 & 1/2 hours tour of the city. (B)

August 3 | Volterra & Andrea Bocelli Concert

In the morning you will visit the beautiful center of Volterra. Late in the afternoon we reach the small town of Lajatico, where we will enjoy the amazing concert of Andrea Bocelli at the wonderful outdoor “Theatre of Silence” in the heart of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The theatre hosts a single concert by Bocelli once in summer, while remaining silent the rest of the year (hence the name Teatro del Silenzio - Theatre of Silence). The stage as well as the platforms for the audience are completely dismantled during the time when they are not used and the theatre gets back to its natural silent state turning into an artificial lake.  Bocelli’s concert is an extraordinary experience to enjoy the beauty of the Tuscan countryside while listening to a superb performance. August 4 | Lucca & Cooking Class

Lucca is also known as the city of 100 churches and being the birthplace of Puccini it offers many interesting sights. On a guided tour we will explore the city that is considered to be Tuscany’s open-air museum.  We will also discover the secrets of the Italian and Tuscan cuisine during a hands-on cooking class in the afternoon. After the class, we will get together with the other participants to enjoy our own home-made meal. Buon appetito! (B.L)

August 5 | Charming Cinque Terre

Today we will enjoy a full day excursion to the Cinque Terre. Our journey begins with a train ride from La Spezia to Riomaggiore, where we admire the multicolored houses facing the sea and the small square. We then reach Manarola by boat, one of the most romantic villages of the area set on a high rock 70 metres above the sea. By boat, we travel on to Monterosso, the largest of the five villages. It features amazing beaches, crystal clear waters, and beautiful reefs. Return to La Spezia by train. (B)

August 6 | Siena | Rome

Along the way to Rome, we will stop in Siena where our local guide will show us the major sights such as Piazza del Campo, the shell-shaped square on which the famous horse-race “Il Palio” takes place each year, and the gothic Cathedral. For lunch, we will enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery with a selection of delicious local specialties. In the evening we will arrive in Rome and overnight at the hotel. (B.L)

August 7 | Departure

After breakfast at your hotel a shuttle transfer will take you to Rome's Fiumicino airport to begin your journey home.  Arrivederci!
