Day 1: Arrive Holguin


Sunday - Arrival at Holguin airport. Your tour guide will be waiting for you and will go with you to Bayamo. After a short tour of the city center you will have a delicious welcome meal in the restaurant, "La Bodega". Overnight stay at the Hotel Royalton. (D)

Day 2: Bayamo | El Cobre | Santiago de Cuba


Monday - After breakfast we will set off in the direction of Santiago de Cuba. Our first bike ride is 25 kilometers long and takes us to El Cobre. The pilgrimage church Caridad del Cobre was built at the beginning of the 17th Century for the Holy Virgin, who was the patron saint of the slaves working in the mines. Once in Santiago de Cuba, go on a tour of this city where Cuba's passion and African heritage are most evident. The program includes a visit to the museum of the 26th July. Picnic lunch is included. The rest of the afternoon can be spend as you wish. Accommodation at Hotel Villa Gaviota or Versalles. (B.L)

Day 3: Santiago | Verraco Beach | Santiago


Tuesday - Your day will start with an approximately 35 kilometer long bike ride to the beach of Verraco, which invites you to linger. You will also have lunch-break en route. After enjoying the beach for a while the bus will take you back to Santiago, where you will have the rest of the day to do as you please. Accommodation at Hotel Villa Gaviota or Versalles.(B.L)

Day 4: Santiago | Baracoa


Wednesday - Today you will cycle further towards the east. To begin with you'll go with the bus for a few kilometers before cycling along the picturesque coast (approximately 40 kilometers). After a break and a bus transfer through the mountains you'll resume cycling for a further 30 kilometers to Baracoa. The village of Baracoa, the first settlement founded by Spanish conquistadors in 1511, is replete with natural and historic curiosities recently rediscovered after more than four centuries of isolation. Accommodation at Hotel Porto Santo. (B.L)

Day 5: Baracoa | Maguana Beach | Baracoa


Thursday - After breakfast you can enjoy a bike ride to Playa Maguana (approximately 35 km). Protected by a coral reef, this white-sand beach is a few miles from Baracoa. After a swim you will be transferred to Baracoa, where you can visit the town center. Accommodation at Hotel Porto Santo. (B)

Day 6: Baracoa | Yumuri River | Baracoa


Friday - Breakfast at hotel. Today's somewhat hilly bike ride takes you through unique flora and fauna to Boca de Yumuri, a river estuary. After enjoying a picnic lunch and refreshing yourself in the water, you will be transferred to Baracoa. Accommodation at Hotel Porto Santo. (B.L)

Day 7: Baracoa | Guardalavaca


Saturday - Today marks the end of your cycling tour. After breakfast the bus will take you to Guardalavaca, from where a transfer will take you to Holguin airport. Or ask us about extending your Cuban vacation with a beach stay in beautiful Guardalavaca. (B)
