Marvel at the timeless beauty of the Eternal City’s historic landmarks and classical architecture that draws millions of visitors each year. Taste the wines of Tuscany & sail over the Bay of Naples to Capri, enthralled by its magical beauty.

Day 1: Rome


On arrival at Rome international airport make your way to your selected hotel for check-in and overnight (an optional shuttle or car transfer is available). The remainder of the day is yours to explore Rome on your own. (B)

Day 2: Rome


Following breakfast at your hotel enjoy a full day guided tour of the Eternal City. In the morning visit some of the best known sights & monuments of Rome, including the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, before continuing to St. Peter's Basilica where you can admire many masterpieces including Michelangelo's Pieta . Following lunch at a typical restaurant, discover the Imperial Rome with a panoramic drive along Circus Maximus & the pyramid of Caius Cestius, and visits to the Roman Forum, the Basilica of St. Paul outside the Walls and the Colosseum. Day 3: Tuscany


Early breakfast at the hotel and then depart on a full day excursion that will take you off the beaten track to experience a taste of all that is essentially Tuscan - rich history & culture, rolling landscapes, food & wine. After crossing the Tiber valley, we visit the picturesque town of Cortona and then drive along the shores of Lake Trasimeno where we stop to taste and perhaps buy some of the many local products (olive oil, cheeses, salami and ham). Lunch will then be served in a typical countryside restaurant. In the afternoon the tour continues through the gentle hills of the Chianti Region, to reach the hilltop town of Montepulciano. The deep ruby red wine of this town, àVino Nobile", is famous the world over. Here we visit one of its oldest wine cellars, carved out of the tufa rock, to discover some of the secrets of the winemakers and of course to taste the final result. Return to Rome for overnight. Day 4: Rome


Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then a full day at leisure to explore as you please, or consider taking one of our many optional excursions. (B)

Day 5: Rome


Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, followed by a guided tour of the Vatican museums. This tour begins by coach passing through Porta Pinciana and following the ancient Aurelian Walls via Villa Borghese Park to arrive at the Vatican Walls. With our local guide you will visit the Vatican Museums, Gallery of Tapestries, the Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo's magnificent fresco àLast Judgement" and ending inside St. Peter's Basilica (no need to stand in line after the tour). The remainder of the day is at leisure. (B)

Day 6: Capri & Anacapri


Today visit Capri, the enchanting island surrounded by the turquoise sea of the Gulf of Naples and often referred to as the pearl of the Mediterranean. Departing early from Rome, your coach travels south through the fertile Roman countryside along the "Highway of the Sun'. Arriving in Naples you will board a jet boat for the 45 minute crossing to Marina Grande, the port of Capri. Weather permitting; you may board a motorboat for an optional tour to the Blue Grotto (not included). Proceed by minibus on a panoramic drive to reach Anacapri, situated at 280 metres above sea level and from where you will have a wonderful view of the Bay of Naples. Following lunch in a local restaurant, enjoy some free time to take unforgettable photographs & perhaps purchase local products, before returning to Marina Grande to board the boat back to Naples. While entering the port of Naples, you will have the opportunity to admire the splendid views of the 12th Century Maschio Angioino fortress, Certosa of San Martino and the Royal Palace. After disembarking in Naples, board a coach for the approx 3 hours return journey to Rome. (B.L)

Day 7: Rome


Enjoy a free day in Rome to visit the many other must-see highlights of "Eternal Rome', the sheer magnificence of thousands of years of history. Or, spoil yourself with a stroll along Via Condotti, Rome's famous shopping street, stopping to sip a cappuccino and watch the world go by. Overnight in Rome. (B)

Day 8: Depart Rome


Today marks the end of your tour. Following breakfast at your hotel, make your way to the airport to board your return flight to Canada.(B)
