Day 1: Arrival in Puerto Varas


Friday - On arrival at Puerto Montt airport you will be met and transferred to Puerto Varas, located on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. Check-in at your hotel and rest of the day at leisure to relax or start discovering this charming town on your own. Overnight accommodation.

Day 2: Puerto Varas | Puerto Montt | Ancud Gulf | Corcovado Gulf


Saturday - Following breakfast at your hotel & check-out, enjoy a guided tour of Puerto Varas and nearby Puerto Montt. The excursion starts with a city tour in Puerto Varas, a lakeside town on shore Lake Llanquihue also known as the 'City of Roses' and founded by the German settlers during the 19th century. Admire typical native trees and the beautiful view of Puerto Varas from atop Philippi hill, continue to Calvario hill for another panoramic view, and then return to Puerto Montt along the banks of Lake Llanquihue with the stately view of Osorno volcano in the background. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Puerto Montt and visit the picturesque Angelmó cove with its handicraft & seafood markets. From Puerto Montt enjoy the views of the bay and the beaches of Pelluco and Chinquihue, two summer resorts located along the Tenglo Channel. Your tour ends at the pier where you will board the MV Skorpios II for your cruise through the Chilean fjords. Departing from Skorpios Terminal in Puerto Montt at 12noon, the ship will sail through the Llanquihue Archipelago, passing by the town of Calbuco which was a Spanish Fort and today is an important fishing center. Then the cruise goes across the Ancud Gulf and the legendary archipelago of Chiloe, sailing through Corcovado Gulf at midnight. (B.L.D)

Day 3: De Moraleda Channel | Puerto Aguirre | Punta Leopardos


Sunday - Navigation through the Moraleda and Ferronave channels, arriving at the fishing village of Puerto Aguirre at 11:00am where travellers will be met by local children. You will have approximately 1 and half hours to admire this peaceful fishing village. At 12:30 we will set sail and continue along the Ferronave, Pilcomayo and Costa channels, and the Elephant fjords. The anchor will be cast in Hualas Cove or Punta Leopardos, about 20 nautical miles from the San Rafael Glacier. (B.L.D)

Day 4: Rio Tampanos Channel | Laguna San Rafael | Quitralco Fjord


Monday - Sailing along the Tampanos Channel. At 09.00am the ship enters the magnificent San Rafael Lagoon and anchors at 2 kilometers away from the Glacier, where you will enjoy boat excursions among multi-coloured icebergs (weather permitting)and have the chance to taste some Whisky on 'the rocks' with glacial ice. Once all are on board again the ship will approach the Glacier for a closer look and in the late afternoon navigate through the Quitralco fjord. (B.L.D)

Day 5: Quitralco | De Moraleda Channel


Tuesday - At 8:00am berthing at the Quitralco Dock. After breakfast passengers may enjoy a thermal bath in the hot springs where the water temperature reaches at 32ºC & 36ºC at indoor or outdoor pools. If the weather allows, motorboat trips will take us up through the clear waters of the Quitralco Fjord. It is also possible to hike in the forests or go up to the viewpoint to appreciate the beautiful scenery. At 19:00pm we continue sailing in direction to Chiloe passing through the Moraleda and Parez North Channels. (B.L.D)

Day 6: Corcovado Gulf | Chiloe Island | Castro


Wednesday - At 08.00am Corcovado Gulf crossing. In this area, if conditions allow, you will have the possibility to watch humpback whales and blue whales. Continue sailing along the oriental coast of the Chiloe Island, through Yal Channel and finally Castro stream, arriving at this beautiful city mid afternoon. Disembarkation to visit Castro. Tonight you will be treated to a farewell party with Captain's dinner and dance. About 10:00pm we set sail again cruising towards Puerto Montt through the Lemuy, Dalcahue and Quicavi channels. Day 7: Puerto Montt


Thursday - Early docking at the Canal Tengo dock. Today enjoy your final breakfast on board, check-out and disembarkation. A private car transfer will take you back to Puerto Montt airport for your return journey. (B)
