Make your way to your hotel located in the heart of Tuscany's Chianti Classico area and, after checking in, relax and enjoy the remainder of the day to explore your new surroundings.
The morning is free to spend as you chose. Relax by the pool enjoying some of the most beautiful views of Chianti. No stay in the Chianti Hills would not be complete without tasting the wines of its terroir, and today in the afternoon you'll sample some excellent wines of Tenuta Tignanello. Owned by the Antinori family, winemakers for 26 generations, this estate produces some of the area's most iconic and renowned wines. The tasting takes place in the wine bar of our Trattoria della Fonte and you'll sample fine Tignanello estate wines such as the Marchese Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva and the Badia a Passignano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione, complemented by a selection of cold cuts and local cheeses. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before discovering traditional Tuscan recipes during today's cooking lesson with Executive Chef Antinori. In our practical pantry, Chef Antinori will prepare a complete menu and provide all recipes for you to take home. Based on seasonal produce, the menu may include fresh ravioli pasta stuffed with ricotta and spinach, cacciatore chicken stew, and cantuccini almond cookies, which you'll enjoy at the end of the course accompanied by a glass of wine. Today marks the end of your Food & Wine Experience at Fonte di Medici. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before making your way to the airport or railway station for your onward journey. (B)
