Today's tour begins with a scenic journey to the Sainte-Victoire Mountain, a source of inspiration for the famous painter Cézanne during the years of 1880 to 1883. Continue toward the Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire vineyards located East from the city of Aix-en-Provence, at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain. Enjoy a wine tasting at 2 wine properties of the appellation, sampling its tasty, full-bodied reds with excellent structure and subtle, elegant rosé wines. Return to Aix en Provence in the middle of the day where you'll have free time for lunch on your own. In the afternoon depart again to discover the highlights of the Luberon. You'll have some free time in Lourmarin, one of the most beautiful villages in France, famous for its Renaissance castle, and enjoy a photo stop in Bonnieux, a pretty village dominated by its church at 425 metres above sea level, which commands the Combe of Lourmarin, a unique road through the Luberon. Continue to Roussillon and discover this hilltop village famous for the blood and gold colours of its ochre cliffs. Finally, proceed to Gordes, a medieval village entirely made with the local stones called ‘lauze’ where you'll have some time to explore on your own before returning to Aix-en-Provence.
