Day 1: Rome

Welcome to Rome! After meeting your driver at the airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel (transfer included). Explore the Eternal City at your own pace with a one-day Hop-On Hop-Off Gray Line bus ticket. Enjoy spectacular views of Rome’s iconic landmarks from the open-top panoramic buses, listen to audio commentary in 12 languages, and hop on and off at any of the eight stops along the route. After check-in at your hotel, relax and enjoy a well-deserved night’s rest.

Day 2: Rome | Assisi | Siena | Florence

Departing at 7:15 am from your hotel by a deluxe coach, you will arrive in Assisi, ready to explore, at your own leisure, this tiny town surrounded by walls, built in the Middle Ages. Take your time to visit the basilica of St. Francis, where you will see masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue and then enjoy a lunch in Assisi (included). Board on the bus to reach Siena, a Unesco World Heritage Site, world-known for the Palio, the historical horse race around the shell-shaped town square: Piazza del Campo. Next, you will continue on to Florence, where you will check in at your hotel before enjoying well-earned night of rest. (B,L)

Day 3: Florence

After breakfast, explore Florence, the “Cradle of the Renaissance,” where art and architecture reached their pinnacle. Visit iconic landmarks such as the Duomo with Brunelleschi’s magnificent dome, Giotto’s Campanile, and the Baptistery with its famous bronze doors. Stroll through Piazza della Signoria, see Palazzo Vecchio, and visit the Basilica of Santa Croce. Enjoy lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant in Piazza Santa Croce. In the afternoon, wander Florence’s charming streets at your leisure or take an optional trip to Pisa to see the Piazza dei Miracoli, the Duomo, the Leaning Tower, and the Baptistery. Dinner at leisure and overnight stay in Florence. (B,L)

Day 4: Florence | Bologna | Venice

After a delightful breakfast in Florence, we depart for the elegant city of Bologna. Upon arrival, the charming city center, adorned with its iconic porticos, awaits your free-time exploration. Begin your walking tour at Piazza Malpighi, leading to the heart of the city at Piazza del Nettuno and Piazza Maggiore. Here, you can marvel at the historic Palazzo Podestà as well as the Basilica of San Petronio, the largest Gothic church in the world built with bricks. We will then show you why Bologna is often hailed as Italy's gastronomic capital as you delve into its vibrant street food scene, which is as rich and diverse as its culinary heritage. Meandering through the city’s medieval streets, you will encounter a delightful array of food stalls and markets, each offering a mouthwatering selection of both traditional and contemporary treats. As you explore the charming alleys and bustling piazzas, you will immerse yourself in a culinary adventure that goes beyond just a meal. With a light lunch at a local eatery, offered by us, you will have the chance to savor the authentic flavors and unique dishes that define the renowned gastronomic identity of Emilia-Romagna. Later in the afternoon, we continue our journey to Venice. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel for a restful overnight stay. (B)

Day 5: Venice

After breakfast, transfer to Piazza San Marco and explore Venice’s iconic landmarks, including the Palazzo dei Dogi and the legendary Bridge of Sighs. Conclude your walking tour with a refreshing spritz or prosecco and a taste of traditional “cicchetti,” Venetian-style tapas, in the company of your tour leader. Spend the afternoon at leisure, wandering Venice’s charming canals, before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay. (B)

Day 6: Venice | Tuscany Wine Region | Rome

After breakfast, depart from Piazzale Roma and head to Tuscany, renowned for its stunning landscapes, historic churches, castles, and exceptional wines. Stop in Montepulciano, a medieval town famous for its “Nobile” wine, panoramic views, and rich cultural heritage. Enjoy lunch at a typical restaurant, accompanied by a glass of local wine, followed by some free time to explore the town. In the evening, continue to Rome for an overnight stay. (B,L)
