Madrid for food lovers! Learn about Spanish wine and discover traditional tapas in Madrid. Then enjoy a traditional flamenco show featuring some of the best flamenco performances in the Spanish capital.

Day 1: Madrid

¡Bienvenido a España!  Arriving at the airport you will find your driver waiting and ready to bring you comfortably to your hotel in the centre of Madrid.  Check in, maybe freshen up and then head out to start your discovery of this fascinating city.

Day 2: Tapas Walking Tour & Flamenco Show

After a day at leisure to explore Madrid on your own, experience the true art of Tapeo and discover Spanish gastronomy during this 4-hour guided tour that will take you from bar to bar visiting different neighborhoods, before enjoying an intimate and beautiful flamenco show. There is a story to tell about every corner of Madrid and the markets that supply the city have been proof of this for almost a century. Accompanied by our professional culinary guide you will discover a real signature cuisine, gourmet products and a vast amount of culinary culture, nowadays hidden in the reformed markets of San Miguel and La Cebada in the La Latina neighbourhood in Madrid. The tour will start at the San Miguel square, where we will move to La Latina, Cava Baja and Cuchilleros streets, the most famous sites for Tapeo’: in there we will taste typical mushrooms tapas or Padrón peppers accompanied by a beer or cider. Not far from our first stop, is the San Miguel Market where we will taste the famous Spanish Omelet pincho accompanied by a cold beer. From San Miguel Market we will walk through the Plaza Mayor and Barrio de las Letras, where famous poets and artists spent the best years of their lives. Next, we proceed to Huertas Street, visiting an old but renovated bar (or “Casa de Comidas”) to taste meat cheeks, known as “Carrilleras” with mashed potatoes and accompanied by a glass of good wine, preferably red. After walking through Plaza Santa Ana, our guide will bid you farewell and give you directions to the Tablao where you will enjoy an intimate flamenco show surrounded by the amazing atmosphere of The Tablao Flamenco, a hidden treasure in the centre of Madrid. A drink is included with your flamenco show. (B)

Day 3: Toledo & Wine Experience

Today discover the highlights of Toledo before enjoying an exclusive Wine Experience at a 200-year-old winery in the Toledo Region. We will leave Madrid heading towards the beautiful Imperial city of Toledo, declared a World Heritage by UNESCO. Toledo is one of the oldest cities in Europe with buildings that mix architectural styles including Arabic, Gothic, Mudejar, Renaissance, and Baroque, also it is called the “city of the three cultures” since Christians, Muslims, and Jews lived together here. The great painter El Greco lived in Toledo in the sixteenth century. Immerse yourself with our official expert guide and enter the heart of Toledo, visiting the Jewish Quarter and the area of the convents, with stories and legends that will trace back to the centuries before the Muslim conquest. You will discover the most emblematic places of the city, its history, hidden corners & anecdotes, as well as the main monuments such as the Cathedral of Toledo, whose architecture is a wonderful example of the Spanish Gothic style. After a guided visit, you will have some free time to discover the city by yourself, visit the shops of swords & armory, taste some of Toledo’s traditional food, find a bar and ask for "Carcamusas" (traditional Spanish meet & vegetable stew) or search for an artisanal beer. Meet the group and your guide again and depart for the short drive to the winery. Upon arrival, the first thing you will see will be its vineyards, and the different types of vines, and depending on the season you will be able to see the vineyard in full harvest. You'll walk through 200-year-old vines accompanied by a local viticulturist in the vineyards to learn everything there is about wine-making. The guide and the expert oenologist will then take you to the cellar to explain the processes of making good wine and how the wine matures in the barrels. And of course, you'll have the chance to taste the wine. Make yourself comfortable and by the hand of the sommelier taste 3 different wines of the region, to compare every detail of how a glass of wine can evolve in your mouth. Return to Madrid with an expected arrival around 6:30 pm (B)
