After breakfast, enjoy a free morning to explore Milan at your own pace. In the afternoon, meet your professional local guide at the hotel and begin a three-hour walking tour through the heart of the city. Stroll down Via Spallanzani to reach Porta Venezia—one of Milan’s historic gateways with medieval, and possibly Roman, origins. Continue along Corso Venezia and through the peaceful paths of Giardini Indro Montanelli, passing the elegant Galleria d’Arte Moderna. Follow Viale Manzoni toward the world-famous Teatro alla Scala, inaugurated in 1778 and beautifully restored in the early 2000s. Then, take in the grandeur of the Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) as your guide highlights its remarkable features. Your final stop is the Castello Sforzesco, the powerful 15th-century fortress of the Sforza family. Nearby, unwind with a refined Italian aperitivo before the tour concludes. Enjoy free time afterwards and return to your hotel at your leisure for an overnight stay in Milan. (B,L)
Begin your day with breakfast at the hotel before departing Milan by coach and heading toward the beautiful Liguria region. Your first stop is Santa Margherita Ligure, known as La Perla del Tigullio—a charming seaside town framed by mountains and dotted with elegant villas and luxury hotels. From here, a short boat ride brings you to the iconic village of Portofino, celebrated for its glamour, boutique-lined streets, and colorful waterfront. Shaped like a crescent moon, this postcard-perfect harbour has inspired writers and poets for centuries, including Guy de Maupassant. Enjoy free time to soak in Portofino’s enchanting atmosphere before continuing to Sestri Levante for a delightful wine and local food tasting. After this flavourful experience, travel onward to La Spezia, where you will settle in for the night. (B,L)
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before setting out for the breathtaking Cinque Terre, one of the Mediterranean’s most pristine coastal treasures. This stunning region is home to the five iconic villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore—each perched dramatically between rugged cliffs and terraced hillsides. Exploring the Cinque Terre feels like stepping into another world, where colorful houses cling to rocky slopes, narrow paths wind through vineyards and olive groves, and crystal-clear waters sparkle below. Once accessible only by mule tracks, train, or boat, this UNESCO-listed paradise offers endless charm and unforgettable scenery. Enjoy ample free time to wander at your own pace and savour lunch wherever you choose. In the afternoon, return to La Spezia for another peaceful overnight stay. (B)
